Congressman Daniel Webster today announced his third television commercial, focusing on the importance fiscal responsibility.

The commercial highlights the ongoing work of Congressman Webster to address Washington’s spending crisis. The commercial begins running on digital platforms and television today across Congressional District 11.

“I am committed to opposing legislation that irresponsibly spends taxpayer money. I’ve cosponsored a balanced budget amendment and opposed budgets that violate our spending caps. My commitment is to do everything I can to bring our spending to within our revenues,” said Webster.

While balancing the budget requires an act of Congress, Webster noted, some things can be done unilaterally. Every year, Webster rolls back his own salary and trims his office budget, turning the money back to the Treasury to help pay down the debt. Over the last five years, Webster has saved taxpayers over $2 million.

Webster is a small business owner and active member of his church and community. He and his wife Sandy have six children and thirteen grandchildren.

Transcript:

Washington is spending money so fast, our children may need two lifetimes to pay it off.
Nineteen trillion in debt and counting.
I’m Dan Webster. Here’s what we do to fix it:
One, pass a Balanced Budget Amendment.
Two, lead by example. That’s why I cut my own office budget, refused to travel abroad on the taxpayers’ dime, and cut my own salary every year.
I’m Dan Webster and I approve this message, because America’s not broken, Washington is.
